BGDSAN + Distributed Replicated Block Device (DRBD®)

A low-cost, high availability clustering solution for legacy HP3000 and HP9000 servers — network based RAID-1 between BGDSANs.

High availability without a premium SAN

Beechglen BGDSANs leverage DRBD to provide a clustered, high availability solution for legacy HP3000 and HP9000 servers — a low-cost alternative to expensive redundant SANs. DRBD synchronizes operating system files and user data alike to a secondary BGDSAN, maintaining an up-to-date standby available at a moment’s notice. It carries little overhead and no impact to the production server, operating efficiently and directly between the replicating BGDSANs.
